This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for gamers’ behavior and consequences for unacceptable behavior. We invite all gamers to help us ensure that Dice Tower East is a safe and positive experience for everyone. Please help us keep it fun!

A Separate and Safe Space
Dice Tower East is an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and the real world at large. There are a lot of very important issues and conversations happening in the world, but we don’t want to bring them into Dice Tower East. Please refrain from any discussion of current events, political topics, medical advice, or anything else unrelated to gaming.
Profanity/Vulgar Speech
While certain language may not be offensive to you, please consider that some words and phrases may have a completely different effect on someone else. Purposefully obscuring profanity/vulgar phrases is not acceptable.
Impersonation
Claiming to be other DTE attendees in order to obtain admittance to DTE is considered harassment and fraud. When this is discovered, the attendee will be required to remove themselves from DTE and risk permanent ban from future Dice Tower events.
Copyright/Trademark Infringement
Please respect the copyrights and trademarks held by The Dice Tower and Dice Tower East. Posts that contain copyrighted/trademarked material or links to third party hosting sites containing material that infringes on copyrights/trademarks are not permitted. This includes content that infringes or violates any copyright, patent, trademark, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
STOP MEANS STOP!
If someone in your game has a problem with something you are doing, and they ask you to stop, you must stop it. If you choose not to stop and Dice Tower staff or volunteers are notified, consequences may be enforced or you may be removed from the convention.
Reporting Unacceptable Behavior
If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behavior, or have concerns that the Code of Conduct is not being followed, please notify a Dice Tower East volunteer or staff as soon as possible.
Do not engage the offender. In some cases, unacceptable behavior may stop if you clearly say “No” or “Please leave me alone,” or simply leave the situation. In these cases, we would appreciate it if Dice Tower staff are still informed to help us identify any repeat offenders.
Dice Tower staff will take all necessary steps to assist gamers in feeling safe, including imposing consequences for unacceptable behavior. We will record a report of any incidents. When taking a personal report, our staff will ensure you are safe and cannot be overheard. There may be another Dice Tower staff member involved to ensure your report is managed properly. Once safe, we’ll ask you to tell us what happened. This may be upsetting, but we’ll handle it as respectfully as possible, and you can bring someone to support you. You won’t be asked to confront anyone and we won’t tell anyone who you are. Incident reports will remain confidential with the exception of criminal matters, which we will report to law enforcement. However, we will take into account any concerns you may have about involving law enforcement. Our staff will be happy to help you contact hotel/venue security, local law enforcement, local support services, provide escorts, or otherwise assist you to feel safe for the duration of the event.
Remember that the above rules and guidelines are not hard and fast rules for every situation that may arise. These guidelines are subject to change as necessary

If you have any issues or illnesses that have the potential to impact other attendees, we ask you to take precautions to respect their ability to participate, such as the following:

We’ll need some help running our DTE headquarters, the DT library and registration desk, as well as convention set-up on June 30th and tear-down on July 5th — just to name a few positions! More information and applications will be available on Tabletop.Events. Applications will be reviewed and approved by convention staff and positions will be assigned on a first-come/first-served basis. To apply, you must:
- Be an adult over the age of 18.
- Have purchased a badge to Dice Tower East.
Volunteers who work at least 12 hours will receive a reimbursement for their DTE badge (not including Cardboard Events convenience fees). Hours don’t have to be worked consecutively and reimbursements will be issued after the convention.
