Over Under Game
Over Under Game
The Over Under Game takes the well-known over/under terminology from sports betting and applies it to the world of trivia, with all players or teams trying to be the first to reach the finish line.
Players can compete individually or in up to four teams. On a turn, one member of the active team rolls a die, then either moves that team's pawn forward or backward two spaces or presents a trivia statement in one of four categories – Fun Food Facts, Numerical Nuggets, Amazing Physical Phenoms and Wacky, Warped & Weird – to all of the other teams, along with a "line". For example: "Over under on the number of times a male lion mates each day. Line: 20".
All other teams secretly choose an Over or Under token with a value from 1 to 5, then they reveal these tokens simultaneously. If a team guessed Over or Under correctly, it moves ahead the bid number of spaces on the playing track; if wrong, it moves backwards. The next team then rolls the die.
The first team to land on the finish line by exact count wins.
