Beast: Shattered Isles
Beast: Shattered Isles
The Shattered Isles introduces a brand new world, with three new Beasts, three new hunters, two maps, four contracts, and a heap of new and exciting gameplay mechanics.
Vacker, Abuser of Stolen Souls is a narcissistic Beast who utilizes souls collected from the dead to soul charge her abilities for additional stronger effects. Be careful: if you run out of souls, you are immediately revealed on the map.
Thalduk, Lord of the High Peaks is the god of storm of thunder. His Yagi summons can kick unsuspecting targets into harm's way, and with his overload ability, he can deal massive amounts of damage with just one card.
Akkeron, Abomination of the Shattered Isles is the culmination of human hubris. A ritual to become stronger than the Beasts went wrong, and from the ashes of the humans who perished, Akkeron was born. This foul Beast wants nothing more than to spread his foul corruption and consume the world.
Eivind, Skyhunter uses his versatile grappling hook to pull himself around the map or to pull friend or foe to his location. He's accompanied by his owl-like companion Fylgja, who moves around the map in search of trails.
Fara, Flameblade Huntress is as reckless as she is violent. With her Flame Rapier, she can move incredible distances without changing direction, and be rebirthed by fire as she takes on enough wounds.
Valdi, Alchemist is a sinister hunter who excels at his studies of the dead. He brews competent potions and poisons to help his fellow hunters, and to damage the Beast.
New Mechanics
The two new maps feature Hidden Paths: pathways that can only be accessed by characters native to the same habitat the path originates from.
Ruins can be found on the map. Begin a turn in the same location as a ruin to unlock forgotten and powerful magic.
Split Actions can be played in combination with any other card for the highest flexibility possible.
New Cards, Contracts, and more
Shattered Isles comes with 4 new Action Cards, an updated and improved way of drafting your cards, 13 new Items, 13 new Beastly Talents, and 4 new Contracts that change the way you play the game.
