Terrible Influence

Terrible Influence
A darkly comedic board game that takes its players on a satirical journey through the absurd world of celebrities, politics and influence. Create your very own super-star persona with plenty of money, fans and scandals along the way in this cynical celebration of the fame obsessed culture we all know and love.
Gameplay Overview:
Players begin the game by selecting a class for their character (ex. a Reality TV Star or Podcaster ).
You may start the game without any money, fans, or any talent whatsoever, but when has that ever stopped someone from thinking they should be rich and famous?
Before you know it, your character will be battling internet trolls, starting a charity, and paying a lawyer to make those criminal charges go away. And that may all just be on your first turn!
Throughout the game, players will build and add to their character. They could have valuable skills like being Incredibly Good Looking or having No Self-Respect. Advantages like having a Cult-Like Fanbase or a Powerful Family make life a breeze.
No wealthy relatives? No problem! Add some revenue with a Sponsorship Deal or team up with another player to Buy a Sports Team.
As players climb the levels of Influence, Fame, and Power, they will also have to avoid scandals or being Canceled for all sorts of terrible things along the way. You might get in trouble for being a Conspiracy Theorist or having your DMs Get Released will set you back in the game.
But just like in real life, if you have enough fans and money, you can weasel your way out of any scandal.
Players will have lots of opportunities to gain fans and money, maybe with a Fan Give-Away, or be a Guest On Late Night TV. Players will also get the chance to work with the other players in the game, perhaps by joining them in a Celebrity Boxing match on Pay-Per-View, or to attack players by sending in all your fans to hate on them.
The game ends when a player reaches the final levels of Power and enters the Final Campaign where if they have enough money and fans they get to become President!
