Your Uncle, Dr. Herbert Hughes, never returned from his latest expedition and is now presumed dead. Once an esteemed scientist and adventurer, his career crumbled as an obsession with cryptids, such as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster, took hold.

Now a young man is at your door with a chest left by your Uncle before he set out. Open it and enter a world of illusion and intrigue, of adventure and exploration. Do you have what it takes to unravel the mysteries of his disappearance?

Cryptid contains one full storyline made up of two parts, with dozens of puzzles to decipher and clues to crack. Play with a group or on your own.

Internet access is required to view the Online Companion Guide to get hints, check answers, and progress the story. You may also use the Internet to help solve several of the puzzles.

None of the puzzles require destroying materials to solve them so the game can be passed along afterwards.
